Eligibility

Who is eligible for LEC services and incentives?

Priority Primary Care Providers (PPCPs) are targeted as the core professionals to receive technical assistance under the CalHIPSO program.  If you are a prescribing health care provider in California (MD, DO, PA, NP, CNMW) and work in an ambulatory care setting, you are eligible to join CalHIPSO now. Priority primary care providers (PPCPs) will receive access to subsidized services, and membership fees for PPCPs are currently being waived.

Can I receive services if I am in Specialty practice or a non-eligible primary care provider?

Yes, services are available to non-PPCPs on a fee-for-service basis at competitive rates. Non-PPCPs (specialists, providers in groups over 10 who do not serve an underserved population, as defined by the ONC) pay fees at the time of enrollment.

Non-PPCP CalHIPSO membership benefits include:

  • Access to group purchasing discounts on selected EHR products
  • Education and training resources on best practices for EHR adoption and Meaningful Use
