Lumetra recently led a collaborative of California hospitals endeavoring to reduce the failure rate (RFR) in use of evidence-based measures to prevent surgical site infection and venous thromboembolisms by at least 25 percent. The collaborative was successful, and the participating hospitals benefited from the exercise that resulted in better patient care, fewer complications, and decreased costs. Our team of clinical consultants, partnering with hospital staff, identified and implemented successful strategies, tactics, tools, and techniques to achieve that goal.
Currently we are working with Laguna Honda Hospital and Rehabilitation Center to implement a culture change in their new facility that will ultimately result in a higher level of patient and staff satisfaction, resulting in lower turnover, another cost-saving strategy.
